Genesis Live: The Mama Tour is a concert film by the English progressive rock band Genesis, released for home video in October 1985 by Virgin Music Video.It contains highlights from the group's five concerts at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham in February 1984 at the end of their Mama Tour, supporting their 1983 album Genesis.It was directed by Jim Yukich. As a Genesis fan since the 1970's, I saw them at Twickenham stadium in 2006 (the same tour as the Rome DVD). Sitting far back, the band were tiny dots in the distance, and the sound was echoey. On a large TV, with sound fed to a HiFi, the DVD is a much better experience. It's very well shot, and has excellent sound.
